New Affordable Homes in Wickenburg: Casa del Sol Welcomes First-Time Buyers with Down Payment Assistance
PRESS RELEASE
WICKENBURG, AZ (November 12, 2025) — AllThrive 365, formerly known as FSL, is proud to announce the completion of Casa del Sol, a new 16-home subdivision located on Palm Drive and Tegner Street in Wickenburg. This milestone marks a significant step toward expanding affordable homeownership opportunities in the region.
Casa del Sol was made possible through a collaborative effort that began in 2021 when AllThrive 365 purchased the land from Habitat for Humanity Central Arizona. With construction support and down payment assistance from Maricopa County, the project broke ground in April 2024 and was completed in June 2025. These beautiful, energy-efficient homes are now ready for families to move into.
“We were thrilled to see AllThrive 365 initiate the Casa del Sol project,” said Julie Brooks, Wickenburg Chamber Executive Director Emeritus. “As a long-standing supporter of healthy aging in Wickenburg, their leadership in bringing affordable housing to our community made them a natural partner. This project brings much-needed housing options to our town and reflects the kind of thoughtful development that supports Wickenburg’s future.”
To celebrate this achievement and invite the community to explore the new neighborhood, AllThrive 365 will host an Open House at Casa del Sol on Monday, November 17, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Attendees will have the opportunity to tour available floor plans ranging from 1,236 to 1,607 square feet, featuring 3 to 5 bedrooms. Staff will be on hand to answer questions and guide prospective buyers through the application process.
To ensure long-term success for new homeowners, AllThrive 365 has partnered with Newtown Community Development Corporation (CDC) to provide financial counseling and homebuyer education. Each home includes at least $78,000 in down payment assistance through Maricopa County’s ARPA funds and additional need-based support available from individual funders. These funds may also be used to reduce interest rates, helping buyers maintain affordable monthly payments.
“With more families getting priced out of the housing market, it’s important to invest in solutions that make homeownership more attainable,” said Supervisor Debbie Lesko, District 4. “Maricopa County was proud to partner with the Town of Wickenburg and invest $2 million in the Casa del Sol project to support local families with down payment assistance and securing the affordable home they deserve.”
Eligibility Requirements:
- First-time homebuyer (no home ownership in the past three tax years)
- Income-qualified
- U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident
- Must occupy the home as a primary residence
- Must contribute $3,000–$5,000 in personal down payment funds
- Completion of a virtual 1:1 housing counseling session and online homebuyer education course
Buyers can use conventional, FHA, USDA, or VA loans, and any lender or realtor may participate by coordinating with Newtown CDC. Unlike some affordable housing programs, Casa del Sol homes are not subject to resale price restrictions, offering buyers full ownership flexibility.

While rising construction costs and an extended timeline made the Casa del Sol project more expensive than originally budgeted, AllThrive 365 remains committed to affordability. The organization has chosen to forego any developer fees or profits on this project to ensure that Wickenburg residents have access to quality, affordable housing. Casa del Sol is more than a housing development—it’s a community investment in Wickenburg’s future, helping families achieve the dream of homeownership and build lasting roots.
“We really want to see young families start off their aging journeys in these beautiful new homes,” said Tami Bohannon, President and CEO of AllThrive 365. “Casa del Sol reflects our commitment to building strong communities where people of all ages can thrive.”
Casa del Sol builds on AllThrive 365’s long-standing commitment to Wickenburg. The organization’s first affordable housing project in the town was Padua Hills, a 25-unit apartment community built in 1990. Today, AllThrive 365 continues to serve Wickenburg residents through vital community services like food programs and transportation offered out of the Wellik Senior Center, helping older adults and caregivers age safely and independently.
