AllThrive 365 Honored for Championing Arizona’s Caregivers
On April 2, AllThrive 365 was honored with the David Besst Award for Family Caregiving at the Arizona Caregiver Coalition’s Caregiver Day at the Capitol, recognizing the organization’s significant contributions to advancing services, policy, and systems that support family caregivers across Arizona.
The David Besst Award is presented annually to an individual or organization that has demonstrated exceptional leadership and impact in family caregiving. The award honors both the recipient and the legacy of David Besst, whose tireless advocacy helped establish critical resources and respite supports for family caregivers throughout the state. Each year, a second award is also presented to a family caregiver in recognition of their contributions to caregiving communities.
Founded in 1974, AllThrive 365 has been serving Arizonans and their caregivers for more than 50 years and now supports more than 35,000 individuals each year through integrated services including adult day health, behavioral health, caregiver support, resource navigation and more. The organization was recognized for its longstanding role in strengthening Arizona’s caregiving ecosystem, combining direct services with cross‑sector partnerships and policy‑informed advocacy that elevates the lived experiences and needs of family caregivers statewide.

Caregiver Day at the Capitol brought together hundreds of caregivers, advocates, nonprofit leaders, and policymakers from across the state to elevate caregiver priorities and advance solutions. During the event, the Arizona Caregiver Coalition shared updates on the Arizona Family Caregiver Action Plan (2025–2028)—a comprehensive, statewide framework designed to address the root causes of challenges facing family and informal caregivers.
Inspired by the RAISE Family Caregivers Act and the 2022 National Strategy to Support Family Caregivers, the Arizona Family Caregiver Action Plan was developed by a broad coalition of organizations and agencies and informed by the lived experiences of Arizona’s diverse caregiving communities. The plan calls for coordinated action across public, private, nonprofit, and philanthropic sectors and is organized around three core priorities:
- Access to Services: Building a streamlined, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive system that supports caregivers from day one.
- Outreach and Awareness: Elevating caregiving through advocacy, public education, and policy change.
- Education: Providing comprehensive, multilingual, and multicultural training and community-building opportunities.
